  • Foster a culture of sacrificial and grateful generosity

Our History & Transition

A New Chapter in Faithful Stewardship.

The Catholic Stewardship Foundation was established in 2024 to carry forward decades of generosity and faithful stewardship. Building upon the legacy of the Foundation for the People of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, we received $65 million in endowed assets to continue supporting Catholic ministries throughout central Illinois.

This transition strengthens our mission with enhanced governance, greater transparency, and a dedicated focus on perpetual support for parishes, schools, seminarians, and diocesan apostolates. While our structure is new, our commitment remains unchanged: honoring donor intentions, stewarding gifts faithfully, and ensuring the Church's mission flourishes for generations to come.
